Look for that fade pinkish/yellowish bottom with possibly a bit of red in top center. Honestly, this plate often looks plain white. In older footage or on older cars colors seems to be more distinctive.

You might confuse it with Iowa's standard issue so make sure the green is very deep.

No tricks to this plate, it just a plain white plate on a blur, sometimes you can see a bit of dark blue coming through but don't count on it. 2019-2023 plate shows up through blur as two big patches of light brown divided by white section in the middle. You can often see it in parking lots because they usually have older footage.

Front plates are required. Tough plate to spot quickly but look for that thin red and blue strips. Between the two red is definitely easier to spot initially. Sticker of varying color is usually placed dead center and shows up through the blur.

It has one of the highest varieties of license plate designs including many specialty/charity plates and free replica bases of older designs. The plain dark blue one is the default one, but you don't see it as often as default plates in other states. The best advice for Montana I can give is that if it seems like every car has a different plate than there is a high chance it's Montana.
