Ranked prizes: official rules

Who runs it

The GeoCoach Ranked prize pool is run by GeoCoach (Egor Maslikov, Berlin, Germany; full details in the Impressum).
It is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Twitch, Google or any other platform.

Each ranked season from Season 2 (November 2026) has a prize pool of $300.
Places 1, 2 and 3 on the Challenger leaderboard when the season ends win $150, $60 and $40.
Two Golden Tickets of $25 each are drawn among every other player on the Challenger leaderboard. A top-3 player isn't in the draw, so nobody wins twice.
Prizes are paid in US dollars (or the euro amount at the day's rate) and can't be swapped, transferred or split.
The 1st place also gets the season's title to wear in the game (Season 2: “Season 2 Human GPS”). Every other player on the board who wins no cash gets a Legendary coconut. These are in-game items with no cash value.

Nothing you buy affects your place or your chances. Plus, gems, coconuts, the Geo Pass and anything in the shop never add points or change the draw.
Playing ranked is free with your daily games.

Your chance in the Golden Ticket draw is set by your points.
Reaching Challenger in the season gives you 1 point.
Every 10 ranked games you play as a Challenger in the season give you +1 point (up to +5).
Every full hour you stream GeoCoach live on Twitch with your Twitch account connected gives you +2 points (up to +10). It counts only while the stream is live, is in the GeoCoach category or has #GeoCoach in its title, and you are playing GeoCoach at the same time. Time before you connect doesn't count.
More points mean better chances. The leaderboard shows your points and your current chance.

You must be 16 or older when the season starts. If you are under 18, we pay the prize to your parent or legal guardian, with their consent.
One person, one account. If you play on more than one account, share an account, or let someone else play for you, every account involved is disqualified.
Your email must be verified, and your account must not be banned from ranked or under review for cheating when we pay.
GeoCoach staff and their households can't win. If a staff account finishes in the top 3, the prize goes to the next player.
Not open where the law doesn't allow it.

Cheats, scripts, tools that read the location, win trading, boosting, deliberately losing and playing on someone else's account are not allowed.
We review the winners' matches and replays before paying. A player who broke these rules loses the prize. For a place prize, the next player takes it. A Golden Ticket is drawn again.
Ranked bans follow the ranked rules and can be appealed in the app.

When the season ends we freeze the list of every player in the draw with their points and publish it.
The draw uses a public random number nobody can know in advance: the first drand beacon round after 01:00 UTC on the day after the season ends. Anyone can check the result against the published list.
Each point is one chance. Two different winners are picked.

We tell winners in the app and by email.
Winners have 30 days to reply with the details we need to pay them (PayPal or Wise). Prizes are paid no earlier than 14 days after the season ends, once the review is done.
If a winner doesn't reply within 30 days, or we can't legally pay them, the prize is forfeited. A forfeited Golden Ticket is drawn again once.
Winners pay any taxes due in their own country.
With your agreement we may show your username and avatar as a winner in the app and on our channels.

For prizes we use your account, your ranked results and, if you connect Twitch, your Twitch id, name and live status. We delete the Twitch data when you disconnect it or delete your account.
Payment details are used only to pay you. See the Privacy Policy for the rest.

We may change or end the prize pool for future seasons and will say so in the app before the season starts. A season that has started keeps its prizes.
If something we didn't plan for happens (a bug, an outage, abuse), we decide fairly and explain why.
